Esoterik Guitars, High End Handmade Custom Guitars By Master Luthier Ryan Cook...

Esoterik Guitars started as a high end, custom guitar manufacturer in 2010. They met up with the extremely talented and technical guitar player Dave Reffett. They signed Dave on as their first endorsement and now offer a full line of signature (DR) models. For those of you who still like customizing your own ax they now offer the ESO-C model where you can mix and match your choice of select woods, hardware and knob placement. Esoterik Guitars is dedicated to making the most practical, comfortable and best sounding guitars imaginable. Simply try one and you won’t turn back.

Ryan Cook is the Founder and Owner of Esoterik Guitars and the master luthier behind the design and building process of these instruments. He has worked with many top manufacturers including KB Custom Guitars, Ernie Ball, and National Reso-Phonic Guitars. While making guitars with these companies, he has figured out what works and doesn't work in guitar design and functionality. He has also developed techniques to enhance important attributes in the products final overall look, feel, sound, and playability. Ryan Cook has also played guitar in many successful bands since he was a teenager and knows what works best on stage, at home, and in the studio.

Dual truss rods are a unique part of the design of these instruments. They offer the player or their guitar tech much more control of the overall playability of the guitar. The fretboard playability and string action options are unmatched. The dual truss rod design is added to compensate for unique string gauges and alternate tunings having more or less pull on one side of the fretboard. No matter what you throw at these guitars they can be dialed in and handle it with absolute accuracy every time.  They are loaded with two spoke wheel truss rods accessible where the fretboard meets the body. This means you can easily adjust more fore-bow or back-bow on the bass or treble sides of the fretboard with an Allan wrench or screwdriver (while the strings are at full tension) without having to mess with a truss rod cover plate on the headstock. This feature also greatly decreases the need for expensive fret jobs or set ups in the future.

Neck through designs are found in true high-end stringed instruments. The whole guitar is stronger and can handle more abuse. The neck woods extend from the headstock (with no scarf joint) through the center of the body. This is where the majority of the instruments tone is created. This provides unmatched tone and sustain. This keeps the instruments in tune better and keeps a smooth continuous playability when reaching the high notes without interference of a clumsy heel or bolt on neck. This makes the manufacturing process harder and more involved, but the end result is well worth it.
